Overview
Project managed a high-profile research launch event hosted at the Financial Times’ headquarters to present new research exploring how children and young people consume online news and the impact of today’s information environment on their wellbeing. The event brought together policymakers, media leaders, educators and digital platform representatives to discuss the findings and explore how young people can be better supported in navigating online information.
Work delivered
Led end-to-end project management of the event in collaboration with Internet Matters and FT Strategies
Coordinated the event programme, including expert panels and youth speakers sharing their experiences
Managed speaker communications, briefing materials and rehearsal coordination
Oversaw event logistics at the Financial Times’ Bracken House venue, including registration, AV and production planning
Coordinated event operations with multiple partner teams and stakeholders
Managed the running order and onsite delivery, ensuring the programme ran smoothly and speakers were fully supported.
Impact
Delivered a high-quality, discussion-led event that successfully launched the research and brought together key stakeholders from across media, technology, education and policy sectors. The event created a platform for meaningful dialogue on the challenges young people face in navigating today’s online news environment and the role different sectors can play in supporting media literacy and wellbeing.
